Driving Innovation in Small Businesses

I had the pleasure to meet Sean McNulty, a great Irish innovation consultant, at the NSAI Innovation Lead Design for competitive advantage talk in March ( https://eoinkcostello.wordpress.com/2012/03/).

As part of the InterTradeIreland All-Island Innovation Conference in October 2011 he gave an excellent talk on SME innovation. One of his key points is that User-Centred Innovation is about directly engaging with End User’s and Customer’s to identify their UNDERMET , UNMET and UNARTICULATED needs in order to shape new products, processes and services that are first-to-market to better meet their needs.

His slide deck was distributed at the event, please see Sean McNulty Innovation in SMEs
